THE TERNARY

Supernatural beings called Dominion Ones exist in tandem with humanity, overlapping like gels on stage lights. Knowledge of their existence varies by community but they remain largely unheard of. Dominion Ones are usually humans or humanoids who have drawn the attention of one or more Dominion.

The Dominion is You. It is Us. It is the Stars, the spaces in between. It is the dust and the light and shadows. It is everything and more. The Dominion Is. The Dominions Are.

The Sun

The Sun is one of the two most powerful ruling Dominions, mostly because of its potent dichotomy with the Moon Dominion, therefore it is given two symbols: Gold and the Heart. Daywalkers, Ailuranthropes, and Salamanders live under this Dominion. The Sun is also a ruling icon in alchemy.

The Moon

The Moon is one of the two most powerful ruling Dominions, mostly because of its potent dichotomy with the Sun Dominion, therefore it is given two symbols: Silver and the Brain. Vampires, Lycanthropes, and Sleeks live under this Dominion. The Moon is also a ruling icon in alchemy.

The Planets

The Planet Dominion, having weaker dichotomy with the Stars and less power than the Moon or Sun, is only given one symbol: Quartz. Beings such as Shapeshifters, Metallons, Alatum, Artifices, Sharps, all other Dithropes, etc. live under the Dominion of the Planets. Powers vary according to type.

The Stars

Beings who live under the Dominion of the Stars possess powers not of this world and draw them from elsewhere. The Star Dominion is given two terrestrial symbols: Basalt and Titanium, as well as an undetermined number of non-terrestrial symbols. The scope of these powers varies and is largely unknown. Greys, Galaxiis, Aliscorporis, Antisoma, Uoynos, Seers, Echoes, etc. fall under the Stars Dominion.
